a little HISTORY
Our grandparents, Joseph and Julia came to the United States, separately from Poland. They met and married in the Boyne Falls area. They had seven children and built a life on the Farm. The Farm has been in the Konopaski family since the 1940's. There was no running water or electricity; it was truly a "working" farm, with produce and animals, that our grandparents would trade for materials and necessities. The foundation of the current home was built by our grandfather, Joseph, piece by piece, with materials brought by horse and buggy from another location.
One of the seven children born of Joseph and Julia, was our dad, John. Dad passed in 2023, living a good long life; and no matter how long his life was, we miss him deeply. We wanted to create something meaningful with the house he loved. This venture is our way of honoring his memory, as well as the legacy of our grandparents. Their love, values and examples have shaped who we are, and we hope this is a tribute to the foundation they gave our family.
